Why not switch things up a bit? I’m tossing my interviewer hat to Kylie, the manager for the Goal Digger Podcast, and she’s putting me in the hot seat. Getting interviewed always brings out stories I’ve never thought to share, or methods and strategies that I’ve never revealed before.

In this episode, Kylie will take us back in time to my early days, when I was fresh on the full-time entrepreneur scene, still gaining my footing, and riding the learning curves alllll the way to right now. If you want to know how I invested in myself at the beginning, which early days marketing strategies I still use right now, and which of my business fears actually came true… Keep listening.

This episode is NOT about ways to sell to your list. We’ve all heard the stats about how every $1 spent on email marketing, about $44 is made in return. We KNOW that email marketing is the way to sell and see big profits, and I have tons of content that covers how to do that well. But one of the keys to success in selling to your email list actually has nothing to do with selling or introducing your offer.

It’s those in-between seasons, when you’re not in a launch or pushing a new offer, that you form strong bonds and lasting relationships with your list by serving them. And yet, so many people forget about their list until they have something to communicate about a new product or offer and there’s some sort of urgency in making a sale.

Let’s get into the 4 main different formats for serving your email list and being a valued resource in their inbox, not just another salesperson. C’mon and jump in with me!

Each time I make a new hire for my team, I think to myself: “HOW did we survive without this person?” This sentiment is especially true when it comes to Marisa Vittoria, my Integrator. Pre-Marisa, we were all honoring our own workflows, existing in a constant loop of Google Docs and Slack messages, and seeing what we’re capable of now… We were definitely not reaching our fullest potential.

What does an Integrator do and do you need one on your team? And how can you be your own Integrator and establish systems to get your business achieving more? I’m so excited to formally introduce you to Marisa, but admittedly nervous for her to reveal the systems we didn’t have in place before she joined our team. Hey, it’s all in the spirit of helping YOU learn from where we’ve already been.

As an educator, a big piece of my job isn’t just to get students to sign up for my programs -- that’s only step #1, really -- the next and more important piece is that I want them to take action, digest & implement the materials, and experience big wins and results.

I want to help you not just dive into a program with hopeful intentions, but to complete the materials with purpose and a plan so that you can begin refining and implementing and reaping the reward that comes with investing in your education.

I want to show you the 3 simplest ways to tap into that control and take responsibility for your education, because I’m on a one-woman mission to keep us from never saying, “I don’t have time” ever again, especially when it comes to our goals. Let’s do this!

Is mindset front-of-mind for you? While you’re working on your business, crafting marketing messaging and dreaming up new ways to serve your clients, are you also working on you? As this guest will tell you, mindset is often the piece of the puzzle that’s holding you back from your greatest potential.

Topsie VandenBosch is an expert in entrepreneurial mindset, helping women shed toxic thought patterns, negative thoughts and beliefs that prevent them from showing up, and making bank in their businesses. Her passion and skill for mindset work comes from a foundation in mental health therapy.

In this interview, Topsie will help you identify the excuses you keep telling yourself and reveal how they’re holding you back, explore why anxiety might be a gift for an entrepreneur, and how to recognize and navigate self-sabotage. Here she is, Topsie VandenBosch.

When I was just starting out, I blogged Monday – Friday for YEARS… And while it’s admirable or even shocking, looking back those blogs weren’t really doing much for me. In fact, they were sucking up my time and not getting me anywhere closer to my goals. I’d share a new blog post once on Facebook, and then move on to creating the next. It wasn’t until I started creating content with intention and a plan that I started to see REAL results.

The solution isn’t creating more and more and more. It’s not spending the majority of your time willing your creative juices to crank out just a few more sentences that hopefully *fingers crossed* make it in front of a potential client… The solution is tied to a simple purpose behind each piece of content you push out.

Results don’t just come from a little call-to-action at the end of your blog post. They come from creating with intention, certainty, and confidence, and you can do that when you have a plan. This episode shows you how.

I believe that blogging isn’t just important for your business to run to its fullest potential… it’s necessary. But the MAIN issue I see entrepreneurs facing is just knowing what to write about. Writer's block is real and there’s only so much to cover in your area of expertise, right? Nope!

I want to share with you the things that you ACTUALLY need to be blogging about. Yes, some of this will fall within your business niche, but not always. This system has allowed me to blog 4 to 5 days a week for the 9 years I’ve been running a business and never run out of topics to write about. Plus, it allows you to create the right content that your audience wants and needs from you, so that they keep coming to you as the trusted expert in your arena. That’s something worth blogging about… Let’s jump in!

Myisha T. Hill wears a lot of titles -- single mom, a speaker, an activist for Mental Health, an author… That list continues on, and yet she’s found a way to do those things well, and even thrive in each area.

You might quickly think, wow, she’s got balance figured out, but that’s not what she teaches. Myisha is a life synergist, and through her work she debunks the myth of work/life balance, leading her students to find SYNERGY instead. If burn out, overwhelm, and confusion seems to narrate your life or business, this interview with Myisha will explore why you might be feeling that way, and how you can navigate out of it.

Myisha is also a guide for those navigating their anti-racism journey, and she shares actionable strategies for starting or continuing this important work. Press play and be sure to find Myisha at checkyourprivilege.co.

In the early days of my brand launching was more of a battle than a sweet cakewalk. Nowadays, we’ve got launching down to a T. We don’t have all the answers -- OH, we are still learning so much every single week and through every single launch. But truthfully it comes down to a lot of little things, and ONE major thing that makes the key difference.

I want to talk today about the pre-launch. I believe pre-launch, the period of time before you make the actual offer available or open the cart, is the make or break for a launch and the goal you want to hit. This is my exact framework for pre-launch… What I do in the days and weeks leading up to launch to make THAT time way more manageable, light, and rewarding.

With her company Backstage Capital, she has invested over $10 million in over 130 companies with underrepresented founders; those who identify as women, People of Color, or LGBTQ. Arlan herself identifies as all three, and she was sleeping on an airport floor when she knew she had to do something about the fact that no one in Venture Capital looked like her.

Please hit play for a personal and timely update from Jenna. As we move forward with our business content, please expect me to infuse content that is candid, sharing some of the things I am experiencing and learning in this time. This will be me removing the leader hat and leaning into being the student. I only ask that you stick around and learn with me, if you’re ready. Stay tuned as we adjust in forward motion. Now, onto the show.

When it comes to marketing, so many business owners are getting it wrong. They are so focused on social media and when social media is your ONLY marketing strategy, you’re building your business on borrowed land. You don’t own the followers, you can’t control the platform, you’re not in control of the changes, shifts, or the experience people are offered.

Business owners should have two main priorities -- that’s it -- two. You should be starting or growing your email list and the sole focus of your social media is to be the handshake, the connection creator, that invites people off of the platforms and on to said list.

Let's focus on your email list. The goal of my social media channels is to guide people to my email list so that I can serve them well in their inbox and eventually invite them to join a paid program or take advantage of an offer. That’s it. Digital marketing simplified, so let’s dive into all things starting your email list.

So I got a Peloton bike late last year, and I have to be totally candid here, I wasn’t sure if I’d fully buy into it. I knew I wanted a new way to move and care for my body so I followed the rave reviews of some friends and got this machine delivered to my house and vowed to just give it a shot.

Now let me be totally candid again — It’s not necessarily the bike that keeps me coming back every day. It’s this community of people cheering me on and sending virtual high fives, and maybe most of all, it’s the instructors. Ally Love is one of my favorites. Attending one of her classes is this spiritual experience, like I hop off that seat ready to take on ALL the things with positivity and light.

Ally is a master at building community and leading people to improve their lives not only through moving their bodies, but changing perspectives and pushing limits. In this episode, we discuss how she chooses positivity, why she believes women can have it all (if they know what ‘all’ means for them), and what the true meaning of balance is. Press play!

I’m sharing the 11 simple ways to start thinking like an entrepreneur -- because if I know one thing, it’s that entrepreneurs are often born of a need that only their individual gifts, personality, and experiences can fill.

No one is BORN an entrepreneur -- you become one over time and grow into that role like your big sister’s old hand me down shoes you used to wear. It starts out weird and uncomfortable, and then with time and experience, it becomes a natural way of being. It’s not an overnight thing, and it doesn’t happen by just creating an LLC or purchasing a domain.

So even if your idea isn’t fully fleshed out or you’re not totally sure if you could handle running your own business, let’s walk through 11 easy ways to start thinking, believing and acting like an entrepreneur.

Oh, how I have waited with anticipation for the moment you’d get to meet and experience this woman in full force. Brooklyn Wagner is high at the top of my list of both funniest and wisest people I know, not to mention she has a massive gift of copywriting that makes emails feel like a warm hug from a BFF.

I’ve seen such a transformation in her since she started two years ago, and I think hers is a story you’ll hear yourself in, in one way or another.

Press play to hear what she’s learned by doing scary things, how she tackled the inner work that lead to her greatest transformations, and how she gives herself a pep talk with the help of Shania Twain and Dolly Parton. Yeah, this one is gonna be good.
