Are you planning to hire an employee this year? Your first teammate? A virtual assistant to lighten your load for the first time ever? Finding and hiring the right person to take over a piece of your business is a challenging process -- it’s scary to put what you’ve built in the hands of someone else.
I’ve managed my remote team for over over 6 years now, and I’ve developed a leadership style that some might find unconventional or even uncomfortable. Kylie is back on the show to talk about the hiring process on Team JK, while we dig into our team culture and why I’m not watching the clock or micromanaging my team… And still get massive results and exceptional work from each person in my business.

Kathie Lee Gifford had a 45 year career in television and film as a playwright, producer, singer, songwriter and actress, and you might know her best from her days alongside Regis Philbin on Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee, as well as co-host of the fourth hour of The Today Show with Hoda Kotb.
Now, she’s quote “retired” and I say that with quotes because though she may not be on television where we’re used to seeing her, Kathie Lee is just getting started with her new dreams and goals as an author and a voice for women on the precipice of their own life changes. Empty-nest years, divorce, the death of a loved-one, or a professional crisis or career pivot, Kathie Lee is here to talk about that universal search for meaning through any major life change.

If you’re ready to harness the power for what I forecast as the top methods to drive results on Instagram in the new year, stick with me. It’s not as hard as we’d like to sometimes make it.
As we all roll into 2021, there’s not a better time to reevaluate your Instagram strategy and find ways to level up for the new year. It’s a brand new year, and for most of us that means new goals, new ideas, and new strategies for building our businesses and killing it online. Also, if you’re anything like me, the first of the year also brings about tons of reflection when it comes to your business, an inventory of sorts of what’s working, where you’re getting stuck, and a plan of what you hope to build and create.
If you’re ready to seriously rock Instagram this year, let’s dive on in.

Artists, makers, musicians, designers, photographers, anyone who turns their art into a business, this one's for you. When you decide to turn your art into a business, you open yourself up to so much opportunity, as well as a whole host of challenges. Critique and criticism become part of your daily routine, because it’s that critique that makes customers happy with an end product. And I can remember from my photography days, that a lot less of your time is dedicated to actually creating, and way more is spent on the nuts and bolts of running a business.
Someone whose artistic talent, as well as her business sense, I admire so much is Sheila Chen. I’m so excited to hear all about Sheila’s journey into the creative entrepreneur space, what she’s learned about navigating the space, how she markets her craft, and the lessons in boundaries that keep her business a fulfilling endeavor.

I want to share from my heart some of the things I’m working on and going through, even though I don’t have the answers or know the end result yet. It’s the idea of showing up in the middle of the process, not just when you have the shiny after photo to go alongside the before.
I admire SO much when other leaders and people I look up to can honestly show up and let you into the process, so that’s really what today’s all about. Here are some of the challenges from 2020 that I’ve been ruminating over thoughtfully as we transition into a new year and continue to adjust, pivot, learn and grow into more resilient and kind humans… or at least, that’s the goal.

Where does visualization fit into how to plan and goal set for the future? What about manifestation -- is that a tool in your kit for going after what you want? Before you cast off manifestation and visualization as too “woo-woo”, I want you to meet Dr. Tara Swart. She is a neuroscientist, a medical doctor, and so much more, and her work is anchored in researching the science behind manifestation.
Dr. Swart is going to share that research with us and the proven methods for visualizing and manifesting the life and business you want. This is more than making a vision board on Pinterest with your dream house, this is a tactical lesson in manifestation and visualization, backed by neuroscience.

If you know me, you know I’m not a huge “resolutions” person per se, but I do see the tangible value in reviewing what went down over the past year and seeing what can shift to make the next one even better and I love setting goals and vision casting for what’s coming up. More than just lines on a page, I want to really have a compelling vision of what I hope the year will hold that I can cling to when life hits the fan.
I’ve spent a lot of time these past few months being quiet and still with myself, almost going internal in order to look not only at my habits and work processes, but also my belief systems, core values, and how I’m showing up in the world. This year, I’ll be approaching goal setting a bit differently. Ready for it? Let’s dive in!

The opportunity to share this platform with people I deeply admire and respect is a pinch-me moment. Each Goal Digger Podcast guest brought their stories and expertise to this space for all of us in 2020 and I will continue to celebrate and recognize their work into this new year.
I’m thrilled to welcome back some of your Goal Digger favorites for one more moment of their wisdom and light. I asked them all one very broad question -- What is your advice for 2021? Listening through these I couldn’t help but smile, because just like I knew they would, each one came back with something totally and completely unique to their gifts.
Happy 2021, everyone. Let’s celebrate in podcast-form, with a virtual party right here on Goal Digger.
