We talk so much about building up your own business, but what would it look like if you could earn an income from selling another company’s product or service that you love? I’m sharing my top three tips to rock affiliate sales and how I made over 6-figures in one year just from promoting a few things that I really love a lot.

Do you want to start generating some income with affiliate marketing? This episode starts with the basics and covers everything from the different forms of affiliate marketing, how I navigate the affiliate marketing world, and the special responsibility that comes along with recommending products and services to your audience.

What if your business was built on a ONCE A YEAR product? This guest was featured in Forbes, Family Circle, Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping and HGTV.com (to name a few) and her products are carried in over 800 retail outlets across the world. The kicker? Her product is a “once a year” purchase.

Emily Ley is the founder of Simplified -- a brand of planners and organizational tools for busy women. She is an expert at keeping her clientele coming back year after year. She educates her customers about why they need HER product above the competition, and how to use it to the best of its ability.

Emily is teaching us how to stick out amongst the masses, create a cult following around your business, and how to turn followers into raving FANS.

Loner. Hermit. Recluse. Antisocial.

If you search introvert in a thesaurus you’ll find some of these words. Hermit wasn’t in there, but my mom called me that once, so there’s that. But look mom! Introverts can make friends and build big businesses, too!

Whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert, being an entrepreneur can teach you a LOT about yourself, your leadership style, and help you to hone in on your skills… But entrepreneurship also has a tendency to point out the areas where you don’t quite shine.

Is it better to be introverted and extroverted as an entrepreneur? Today I’m going to teach you how to maximize whichever one you are to rock your business! I’ll also break down how I feel like my journey in entrepreneurship has changed me and taken me from being an extremely extroverted girl to someone who is definitely and entirely introverted.

PLEASE READ: After publishing this episode it was brought to our attention that there is a great deal of controversy and damaging claims surrounding the company featured in this interview, LuLaRoe. LuLaRoe is currently under investigation and facing multiple lawsuits.

Our intent on this show was to shed light on a different type of business model and how to successfully approach marketing in this space. While we support the actionable tips shared by our guest and believe they can be valuable for our audience, we do not support LuLaRoe.

We hope our listener's takeaways are not focused on the company featured but focused on:

  • Knowing your “why” behind anything that you do and letting it shine in all you share.
  • How to stand out among the others selling your same product or within your industry.
  • Researching different opportunities that can help you spend more time with your family and loved ones.
  • Approaching relationships not with the sale in mind but in truly being able to connect with other human beings on a heart level.
  • Using your business as a means to serve others needs and not a place to constantly sell.
  • Preserving relationships by being sincere with every interaction.
  • The importance of creating a personal experience for your customers versus creating mass appeal.

As always, we recommend researching business opportunities before entering them. We are privileged to serve the Goal Digger audience each week with inspiring stories and know the platform we have built comes with enormous responsibility. We heard your concerns, we're sorry, and we're grateful to have your continued support of the show.

GIRL POWER! There are few industries more “male-dominated” than hunting and yet Eva Shockey has made a name for herself and found great success -- but not without some doubt, backlash, and beyond.

Eva has created a brand that started in the outdoor industry and rapidly expanded into the mainstream media. Eva’s new book is a memoir of adventure, skill, healthy living and finding life’s true calling. She launched her own collection with Cabela’s AND she’s the first woman to grace the cover of Field & Stream solo in over 30 years.

Today, she is going to teach us how to find your passion, chase what calls you (regardless of what people say), how to follow a family legacy while staying true to yourself, and how to be confident when you feel intimidated.

How big is YOUR list? Email marketing is my JAM. If you’re a fan of the show, you know I’m OBSESSED with email marketing… I mean, I’ve been talking about it for over two years and it never gets old. I’ll bet that “starting/growing an email list” has been on your goal board for awhile now.

Listen, I get it. Starting an email list seems overwhelming, like the learning curve is just too high to even get started and if you do get it up and running, what the heck do you have to talk about? I was in your shoes once and dragged my feet for a long time thinking my business was doing just fine as is.

The truth is, my email list is the #1 way I drive profits in my business (did I tell you I did $153k in sales by sending out just 3 emails? Yeah, that happened!) I’m spilling what you really need to know about email lists!

THIS ROCKED, THIS SUCKED. C’mon, time travel with me for a minute.

We’re two days into 2019. First of all, HOW? Second of all, you should know that when I recorded today’s episode I was still rubbing my baby bump awaiting sweet Baby Kutcher’s arrival into the world. When I prepped for maternity leave and recorded almost three months of the podcast in advance, I still had a little time in 2018 to close out the year strong… And man, did I.

Today I’m recapping what rocked in 2018, and in the interest of full disclosure, what totally sucked. This year is going to look a LOT different for me, for Team Jenna Kutcher, and for The Goal Digger Podcast, and I’m letting you in on the never shared, behind the scenes of what we’ve got planned at GDP HQ.
