One thing that I've realized in my journey is that the way that we feel in our bodies affects how we show up in every aspect of our lives, whether it is our relationships, career, parenthood, or friendships. The way that we feel in our skin changes our level of confidence. It changes the way that we qualify or disqualify ourselves for things. It shifts what we believe to be possible for us as human beings.
I am not shy about sharing my celebrations of my body, but also my struggles with my body and I have for over a decade. I want to share what I’ve been doing on my own health journey and steps I’m taking to feel like my best, most vibrant self.

She’s shared the same air with Beyonce, but honestly, that’s not even the most interesting thing about Mally Roncal. Her career began in fashion and pivoted into makeup, getting celebrities red carpet ready with more than just cosmetics… Mally is known and beloved for her energy and spark – exactly what her clients needed for an early hair and makeup call.
Now, she’s turned beauty into her empire as the founder and president of Mally Beauty. I cannot wait to hear all about that experience and how she’s turned her brand into an industry giant with staying power. In this conversation, Mally shares her story, the behind the scenes of starting and growing a beauty brand, all the ways she encourages beauty both inside and out, as well as what she wants the next generation of business owners and leaders to learn from her journey.

The digital education space allowed me to step away from trading time for money, and if you’ve been here a while, you know *that* is one of the primary things I want to help *you* do, too. So does my guest! Avary Bradford is the CEO and Founder of The Hive Consulting Co. Her mission is to empower women with actionable education to transform their lives through courses, community and programs. There’s a key word in there I like – actionable. It’s a key part of creating online programs from your students that truly make a difference in their lives and work.
In this conversation, we’re talking about actionable knowledge, the importance of learning with a community around you, and how you can take that precious knowledge you have and turn it into a program, membership or course that creates impact and income.

I honestly thought I would never share this, but when I kept revisiting it, I knew I wanted to record an episode and share this piece of my book with you. When you get my book and open the pages, you won't find these words on the inside, but I also want to remind you that sometimes the things we edit out, the things that get cut, the things that end up on the cutting room floor, they’re not meant to be thrown away.
Let me read you what was chapter 12 of How Are You, Really? because while it's on the cutting room floor and not in the pages of my book, it still matters.

Have you ever felt stuck in a season of ‘almost’? It’s a feeling of straddling where you are now and where you truly want to be, thinking if you could just achieve the goal, reach your own expectations, and finally make that dream come true everything else would fall into place.
My friend Jordan Dooley knows exactly what that feeling is like, and that feeling could’ve kept her stuck. Instead, she learned through hard-fought battles and personal challenges the importance of finding contentment as well as motivation during seasons of waiting. That’s what we’re digging into during our conversation on the podcast.
Listener Note: We talk about our pregnancy losses inside of this episode and I wanted to place this note so that if that topic is upsetting or triggering you, that you skip this episode and scoot to another. This is a topic that both Jordan and I discuss because it’s something we have walked through together. Please discern if the best thing to do is to protect your heart in whatever season you find yourself in. It is absolutely okay to choose to skip this conversation if the topic is challenging for you.
