Each year, I love to reflect back on everything we created, released, pitched, shared, published, and recorded to recognize all the hard work we put in, but also to comb through with a critical eye to understand what really moved the needle for the business.

Kylie is back on the podcast to help me dig into our year-end audit process, as well as analyze the messaging that worked, the strategies we loved, the trends we expect to see expand, and what we'll be ditching when the clock strikes midnight.

In this conversation, Natalie will take skeptics to task on the power of astrology, and walk through key terms and concepts so we all have a better understanding of what a reading can really tell us. And I’m so excited, because Natalie prepared a reading for me, so we’ll go through that together on air.

Let’s revisit the topic of prioritizing what matters and managing your time in a way that produces results AND protects your peace. Because both are equally important to me, and it’s taken a year of intense challenge and change to really drive that home for me.

Let me share the 5 things that help me build efficient days that let me maximize my work time AND feel confident to close my laptop when the work day is done. These are my tried-and-true time management practices that I always return to when I feel frantic or frazzled, and they’re the real deal for getting stuff done and feeling accomplished on any given day.

Experience isn’t a prerequisite for starting a business… But the willingness to learn and get uncomfortable is. And if you’re looking for proof-of-concept to stoke that entrepreneurial fire, let me direct your attention to the incomparable Alison Prince.

From a scrap pile of arts and crafts supplies to multi-million dollar businesses, Alison proves over and over again what’s possible when you start an online shop. She helps people uncover what they can sell, how to sell it without a massive social following, and the brilliant ways you can carve out time in the most overwhelming schedules. This conversation is the beginner’s guide for anyone who is ready to start and make money with an online store.

Coco has taught me a lot about life in her two short years. By simply existing, she’s transformed who I am and how I want to show up. Even if you aren’t a mother, I promise this episode will hold nuggets of wisdom for you to glean from my blond, curly haired little girl.

So Conley Kate, little Coco Bongo, happiest of birthdays to you. I’ll spare you the singing and instead choose to celebrate by telling you (and the rest of the world) the 10 things you’ve taught me before the age of two.

Seeing someone doing what they were so clearly meant to do with their lives makes me emotional, and Ali Stroker was so clearly meant to be on stage, entertaining, inspiring, and moving everyone who watches her. Ali Stroker believes our limitations can be turned into opportunities, and she continues to build a career on stage and on screen in face of those perceived limitations.

This will be a conversation about being the “first” at something, finding your identity, harnessing limitations and turning them into opportunities, and pivotal learning moments throughout her career as a woman with a disability in the entertainment industry.

Marketing isn’t just having a great offer — It’s the ability to POSITION your offer in a way that makes it not only irresistible to the right clients and customers, those people who without-a-doubt NEED what you’re selling, but also sells the value of what you’ve created in a way that clearly communicates its benefit and positions it correctly so people know if it was created with them in mind.

So let’s get into some marketing practices to portray the BEST messaging that not only supports your audience and encourages them to eventually click purchase with you, but that also positions your offers in a way that’s confident, clear, and cuts through all the noise.

Valuing your products and services can feel like an abstract process. However, there are some key components of pricing and valuation that will shift the way you look at your offers -- whether they’re product or service-based -- and help you effectively put a value on your work that supports your overall brand strategy.

I am thrilled to share the mic with Sari De to dig into pricing advice that you can put into practice today. As a coach, Sari has worked with big name Fortune 100 companies, global ad agencies, even Google, to help women navigate the system and get paid what they’re worth.

Let’s talk about all things pricing -- how price plays into your branding, why you need to stop downplaying your offers, and how to influence how others perceive your value.

If you’ve got a million ideas from your brainstorm sessions or a handful of opportunities showing up in your world, it can be downright confusing, and you may be tempted to just say “yes” to everything. You know, to see what works. That whole “spaghetti on the wall” idea throwing it to see what sticks.

But before you jump into a new endeavor just because it seems shiny and exciting and lights up one of your passion lightbulbs, I want to walk you through the process I take to really pause, contemplate, and make an informed decision when it comes to new business ventures and partnerships.

Passive income is one of those things I could talk about for days on end because becoming a mom really reminded me why I decided to build my own business as an entrepreneur. I simply do not want to be on someone else’s clock, in someone else’s office, trading what could be precious family time for a predetermined amount of income. Creating passive income streams was the first real eye opener that showed me I don’t have to trade time for money.

Abby Harriman is a long-time student of mine, and she’s ready to create passive income streams that allow her to scale without losing time with her family. In this coaching session, I’m tackling her questions on value ladders, low priced offers, strategies for automation and outsourcing, and low budget ways to get the help you need in your business when you’re just getting started.

We’ve all heard of an IQ test -- the evaluation of our intelligence quotient. But what about EQ? We can learn a lot from evaluating our emotional intelligence. My whole team recently started working with the incredible Tieko Nejon, an expert in the emotional intelligence space.

Part of her work with our team was administering an Emotional Intelligence assessment with a series of questions that return a score, or EQ. The full report is a bulky document with a breakdown of all the different ways to understand your own personal emotional intelligence, and ways to strengthen those skills. In this episode with Tieko, she’s actually going to dig into MY EQ report and really put me in a vulnerable place. My goal for you is to hear how to analyze your own emotional intelligence, through putting myself in the scary spotlight.

Let’s talk websites. There’s more to a great website than aesthetics. Bottom line, the user friendliness and user experience of your website is what will lead to conversions for your prospects.

If your website doesn’t make that initial impact or lacks clear messaging, if people can’t figure out how to work with or buy from you, or if there’s just too much going on, that’s potential for major lost sales and that’s exactly what I want for you to avoid. Let’s talk about what your website REALLY needs in order to take visitors from semi-interested skimmers to full-blown, obsessed and paying clients (or customers).

The opportunity to monetize your platforms and work with your dream brands can be a game-changing career shift. When Mattie James reached out to share what she’s been working on as an influencer educator, I jumped at the chance to host this conversation.

Mattie James started her lifestyle blog as a passion project in 2010 and she’s since grown it into a multiple six-figure business, partnering with brands to create sponsored content that still feels on-brand and authentic. With all of that success, Mattie now teaches other people how to create profitable influencer businesses and pitch brands with confidence.

Mattie is tuned into all the trends and nuances of the influencer industry, and she’s on Goal Digger to serve up a master class in building a solid influencer business, from pitching to pricing and more.

It doesn’t matter what kind of business you’re operating, it doesn’t matter if you’re a solopreneur or have a team of 20, it doesn’t matter what kind of social media presence you have… The true power to harness your audience lies in email lists. Your email list offers you these opportunities for sweet and direct conversations with the people who are most interested in your brand and what you have to offer. And I don’t care if you have 100 subscribers or 10,000, those people opted into YOUR list for a reason, and they’re who you want to nurture and serve and pay attention to the MOST earnestly.

We’re going to talk about the one of the most integral parts of email marketing, which is getting your emails read! I am going to equip you with the tools to make sure every time someone hears that “you’ve got mail” voice in their head and sees an email from ya land in their inbox, they are stoked to open it up and read it.

It’s been over a year since the man of my dreams, my baby daddy, my husband Drew Kutcher stepped up to the mic for an episode of The Goal Digger Podcast. Time is flying! I invited him back on the show for a deep dive discussion about navigating business as it intertwines with our marriage. After almost a decade of being Mr. and Mrs. we’ve navigated through many different seasons of professional and personal life together, so we are going back in time to the earliest days of entrepreneurship to reflect on what we’ve learned.

This episode is for you if you’re curious about how to talk to your partner about your big business dreams, or if you’re considering going into business with your significant other. Drew reveals how he actually felt when I told him I was leaving my stable corporate job, his advice for starting a business that’s separate from your relationship, and what it’s like to be a partner to a dreamer.

No matter what kind of business you have, or want to have, one of the best strategies to figure out what your customers want from you is to ask. There’s an art to this process, and an artist I love to watch in action is Bethany McDaniel.

Now you may have heard Bethany’s name on the podcast before if you’ve been around here for a while. She was a guest back on New Year’s Day 2018. And her business has expanded like crazy since then -- Thanks to her continual focus on listening to what her customers want. In the 2020 environment where people are shopping for needs over wants, I’m so excited to hear from Bethany about how the feedback loop is different, and how she’s still showing up in ways both new and devoted customers want.

Why aren’t email lists talked about like they’re the sexiest marketing strategy ever? Let me tell ya, email lists *are* sexy. My list drives insane profits for my business and without it, I wouldn’t be reaching and impacting the people I’m lucky enough to speak to via their inboxes each week.

In this episode of the Goal Digger Podcast, Kylie is asking me alllll about email lists in a new way. We’ll dig into why your newsletter form is failing you, how to start from zero subscribers, what do you do if you have a dormant list, and the email marketing strategies that actually worked in 2020… Because we all know this year looked way different than any year that came before it.

How often do you go back to your roots, where it all started? I did this the other day with the Goal Digger Podcast, rewinding all the way back to episode number two and my first ever guest on the show, Jen Olmstead. I wanted to invite her back on the podcast for another go-around, because so much has changed since that episode on November 18, 2016.

Jen Olmstead knows websites, and she’s one half of the Tonic Site Shop duo that has been helping Jenna Kutcher websites look fab since my very first site design. Jen knows how to present your brand in a way that stands out from the masses and attracts your ideal customers, even without a fully custom web design. We’re talking about what she knows best -- website design. She shares why “looking the part” doesn’t have to mean a totally custom design, the crucial components of any business site, and the key clues that your site might be ready for a little refresh.

Psst… Looking for the discount code mentioned in the episode? Visit Tonic Site Shop and use code: JENNASENTME for 15% off your order!

This episode is not meant to give you all the answers. It’s not meant to sort life out after the tornado that swept through in the form of 2020. It is, however, going to give you some ideas to take the next two months and some changes to find balance and peace again and to focus on what you CAN control, if you feel you’ve lost control of this year.

So whether you’re ready for a reset but don’t want to wait for New Years Day, or you just want to focus on one small habit that might lift you up out of the shadows as we wrap up the year… I hope these 10 ideas for ways to end 2020 seeing the silver linings, like my mom taught me to. I hope they fill you up and remind you that, no matter what’s happening around you, you still carry the power to choose how you respond and how you carry yourself forward and out of the depths of hard times. I fully believe in you and know you can end this year better than it started… Here are some ideas on how.

How old were you when you learned that your menstrual cycle had phases? And those phases, when tracked and studied on a personal level, can unlock some pretty mind blowing productivity and wellness changes? Were you *today* years old? Yeah, I spent most of my menstruating life not knowing anything in-depth about my cycle.

We’ve had a period coach educator on the show before and it’s clear — you’re a big fan of learning about your body and understanding your cycle in a way to help you do more and do better in business. If you are someone who menstruates, Berrion Berry is about to become your new BFF. She’s the creator of the The Flo Academy, educating people on holistic menstrual health. She helps her clients understand and harness the power of their cycle to increase energy, enhance their mood, and alleviate PMS naturally. If THAT sounds like something you could get on board with, then it’s time for you to meet Berrion Berry.

That big goal or dream you have? It’s actually the very thing that holds us back more often than not! Let’s focus more on the small, daily steps and actions to get you there because that is what will change your life. The only way to actually achieve your goals is to build systems that propel you toward them every single day.

In this episode, we’ll talk about how to build these systems so that you can achieve ANY lofty goal you might have on your heart, whether it’s for work, your family, your finances, or something personal. And more than that, we’ll talk about how to create habits that reinforce your system, so achieving a goal isn’t just a one-time thing, but a life-changing thing that sticks around and makes you better long-term, not just on the day you get to check off your goal.

Episode 400. FOUR HUNDRED. How is that number possible? The Goal Digger Podcast launched as a labor of love mixed with lots of hard work, topped off with the magic and kindness of each and every guest who volunteered their time to be part of my big podcasting dream.

I’m going back to episode one because I think it’ll be not only fun to look back on how this whole show started, but I’m also excited to share how my view of some of the biggest topics I teach on have shifted since I launched as a 28-year old entrepreneur, a few years into her online business, with bright eyes on the future. My views and teachings on topics like legacy, social media, privacy, authenticity and more have evolved in the last four years, and I want to share that all with you in this episode. Does it get any better than talking social media, email list building, AND a little strategy?! This is basically like Christmas morning for me! In this episode, we’re delving into how they all go hand in hand and how to strategically use your social platforms to grow that email list.

But first things first, why does this even matter? Why *should* we use social media to grow the list? After all, isn’t social media its own separate beast meant for engaging and beating the algorithm and connecting with your ideal audience and booking your dream customers and clients? Well, yes, but it’s also completely owned and controlled by other people. It’s not your domain, you don’t own your followers, it’s not your platform, so ultimately, you’re left with almost zero control. Hit play for my social media secrets that will help you grow your email list.
