Money talks. Are you listening?
Money, money, money… talking about it can feel weird, but isn’t it the foundation of our whole life? It’s money that allows us to pay our rent, buy our groceries, see the world, feel secure, pay for healthcare... The list goes on. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the negative side of money and dwell on the those ugly and fearful feelings of greed or scarcity.
There is a different side to money that often gets overlooked (especially when you are a penny-pinching entrepreneur). You can feel empowered to make money, confident in your worth, and THANKFUL for the money in your life. Money doesn’t HAVE to have a negative connotation (and it shouldn’t!)
In today’s show I am going to teach you how to master your mindset, attract new wealth into your life, and transform your money mindset from start to finish.

She is a three-time medalist and the most decorated Paralympic snowboarder in US history. Amy Purdy defied the odds throughout her life to accomplish some extraordinary things. Despite fighting for her life and losing both of her legs below the knees at the age of 19, her passion for living without limits carried her not only to the upper levels of athletics but onto the dance floor of Hollywood and well, well beyond. This girl even toured with OPRAH, and that’s not even the most impressive accomplishment on her long, long list.
I’m so inspired by Amy. When she went through one of the most traumatizing events I can imagine, she came out victorious on the other side -- but I know it couldn’t have been easy. How do we handle hard things, find the positives in a difficult situation, and cope with “losing” the career you planned on? In this episode, Amy shared what she *really* means when she wants you to LIVE INSPIRED. This one’s a tear jerker… in the best way.

You’re REALLY busy, right? Want to save yourself hours of time? Read on.
The facts: The average time spent on a task before losing focus is only 1 minute 15 seconds. Multitaskers reduce productivity by FORTY PERCENT across the board. When multitasking, it takes twice as long to accomplish a certain task AND it increases errors by 50%. Here’s the thing… we’re not REALLY multitasking. We are just switching our mind back and forth rapidly from one task to another, not giving either task our full attention.
Today’s episode is all about the method I use in my business to ditch the multitasking lifestyle and work ahead, plan with strategy, work efficiently, and have time off to truly REST. Wonder how I’m going to be able to take THREE MONTHS off for maternity leave? It’s all about BATCH WORKING, friend.
I can truly say how I approach work has transformed my business... but it wasn’t always easy or natural to me. Now that I have batch working down to a science, I’m sharing the entire process with you. Raise your hand if you’re a serial multitasker?

The unsettling stats about screen time…
The average smartphone uses their phone 2 hours 51 minutes per day. The average user clicks, swipes, and taps 2,617 times PER DAY. 47% of parents are concerned that their child is addicted to screens while, 89% of parents blame themselves. The amount of screen time per day — regardless of what the content is — goes hand in hand with the higher instances of depression.
Ever since smartphones came on the scene, they have become a constant presence in BOTH our professional and our personal lives. However, this constant sensory overload and overwhelm of information makes our thoughts scattered, impacts our feelings, and ultimately, shapes our LIVES. As a business woman, I want my work to be focused and intentional. From a personal perspective, I want to be present in my life. I want to really LIVE and not just refresh my feed every few minutes. I understand how difficult it can be to break our phone and screen habits, which is exactly why I wanted to make this episode full of TANGIBLE tips, tricks, and methods that will ensure that you can put the phone down, and keep your eyes up. Good news is you don’t need to look at your screen to listen to today’s episode... Well, maybe for a minute.

Today, we are going to learn how Alli turned a niche into a full-blown empire in 8 years time. An accident changed her life, but she didn’t let it stop her and I’ll tell ya: there is SO much more to her story. While a part of her story comes from a scary place, she managed to turn her mess into her message.
My friend Lauren Scruggs Kennedy is a staple in fashion. She spent time interning in wardrobe for the CW’s Gossip Girl, the Michael Kors showroom, and reporting for New York, Paris, and Montreal Fashion Weeks. She’s published two books and along with Bethany Hamilton launched a yearly retreat for girls who have lost a limb. As if that wasn’t amazing enough, she has a foundation, a dry shampoo line, and a booming blog.
Lauren and I are talking ALL the things: her accident, how she pressed onward, what it is *really* like having such a deeply personal brand, why she is so committed to giving back, how she juggles it all and how YOU can learn from her!
