Oh, how I have waited with anticipation for the moment you’d get to meet and experience this woman in full force. Brooklyn Wagner is high at the top of my list of both funniest and wisest people I know, not to mention she has a massive gift of copywriting that makes emails feel like a warm hug from a BFF.

I’ve seen such a transformation in her since she started two years ago, and I think hers is a story you’ll hear yourself in, in one way or another.

Press play to hear what she’s learned by doing scary things, how she tackled the inner work that lead to her greatest transformations, and how she gives herself a pep talk with the help of Shania Twain and Dolly Parton. Yeah, this one is gonna be good.

I started to see a trend recently. More and more people are starting podcasts during their social isolation time, and it surprised me at first...But then it all made sense.

Practically the entire world is at home right now, and while lives are still busy and we still have responsibilities, it’s opened up this opportunity for some to have the time to dream again. And we’ve all got stories to share (maybe now more than ever) so a podcast? Well, it’s the perfect medium to get them out into the world.

So if you’re one of those people who’s had this inspiration and pull to start your own podcast, this episode is created for you today, my friend. I am sharing the top 3 things I recommend doing if you want to start your own podcast, and they might surprise you!

One of my favorite shows of all time has to be Laguna Beach and I still watch all of the spinoffs that continue to grace our television screens to this day. So when the name Lo Bosworth rolled through my inbox I did a double take. THE Lo Bosworth wants to come on MY show, when I’ve been watching hers for years?

It’s so fun to see how Lo Bosworth leveraged that platform and created something of her own. But it wasn’t a straight line from a TV career to running her women’s wellness company. Her career is rich with learning curves and pivots, and honestly, I’m not sure you’ve heard this part of Lo’s storyline before. She’s the reality star we adored, now innovating for women’s wellness in ways you’re going to LOVE.

My business coach gave me a piece of advice that has forever changed how my business functions. I actually used to manage a team of 20 without any sort of system or task list. My days used to feel frantic and frazzled… But now, I’m focused and freed up, and it was all thanks to implementing his advice.

In this episode, I share how we use SOPs in my business, and more importantly, WHY they’re so important and HOW you can begin to create them for yourself, too.

Have you heard of tapping? It’s a technique that mixes meditation and psychology and acupressure to manage everything from stress and anxiety to limiting beliefs and more. Maybe it sounds woo-woo on the surface to you right now, but the research behind tapping is enough to make even my analytical mind curious. And maybe you’re wondering too, could tapping be for me?

Jessica Ortner is here to teach us the world of tapping, the science behind it all, the massive benefits of the technique, and even lead us through a 5 minute exercise on air. I’m so excited to try this out with you.

It can feel awkward and narcissistic and exhausting to try and show up on Instagram in the middle of a crisis and it can leave us second guessing every post… You might’ve found yourself wondering these same things over the past month or so: am I being insensitive? Am I invoking fear or panic? Am I an expert in this subject? Am I adding something truly helpful to the noise of social media right now?

Just because the world is paused around us doesn’t mean we don’t yearn for the same connection, joy, interactions, and realness that “normal” life brings about. In fact, it’s my belief that we need to share these little intricate normalcies NOW more than ever.

If you’ve been finding yourself tiptoeing around social media these days, not sure where to start or what to say, and how to say it, this episode’s for you. Let’s chat about the 5 ways you can show up well for your people in this season.

If you want to talk about putting in the work to make your dreams happen, you have to talk to my friend, Jamie Kern Lima. You might be wearing one of her products from IT Cosmetics right now… But before the billion dollar brand was even a thing, she was a TV news anchor struggling with sensitive skin who could never find a product that worked for her.

She created a cosmetics brand that would go on to be more than just products, but an inspired community of millions of women who share their stories of overcoming their struggles with confidence and self-worth.

Jamie is a powerhouse business woman, an inspiring speaker, and warm spirit who is on the Goal Digger Podcast to talk all about how she built her brand from the ground up. I can’t wait for you to hear the scrappy moves she pulled in her early days, all the way to the biggest lesson she learned when her vision was challenged.

Dean Graziosi is my business coach, and he and I are very different. We approach almost all aspects of business and life differently, but sitting down with people who aren’t like you is exactly how you grow. We have this friendly banter as an odd couple in business, and I love learning from him.

I’ve shared conversations with Dean before on the Goal Digger Podcast, but I hope you don’t mind me opening up my little vault of content to share with you a conversation we recorded together with a vision of launching our own podcast together. The files have been hanging out, waiting for a plan, and I thought now was a perfect time to let you listen in on a different chat with my coach.

We broach the often controversial topic of money and happiness, and Dean shares his views on how the two are connected. I talk about my transition from corporate life to entrepreneurship, and why you might not ever get the permission you’re seeking to make a big jump in your life.

With social media, there’s one constant we can count on -- Change. Doesn’t it seem that just as we’ve got it all figured out, the powers-at-be switch it up again?

But never fear because my team and I get to work breaking down new strategies to share with you, so you can get on top of the changes faster. The most recent change we’ve been navigating? Pinterest.

A few months ago we received embargoed information from Pinterest in partnership with Tailwind that stated the way the algorithm prioritized and distributed content was changing. We’ve been in contact with them behind-the-scenes, working through the changes, and have been testing strategies over the last several months to be able to share them with you!

The good news? We have seen incredible growth in our stats (like, numbers in the millions). So what does it mean for YOU and what key things can you incorporate into your Pinterest strategy for the updated algorithm? Press play to find out.

Have you ever talked yourself out of something even though you really *really* wanted to do it? When I’ve had this inner back and forth of should I, shouldn’t I, it’s because I know deep down what I WANT to do, but I’ve heard other voices in my head telling me why I shouldn’t or why I’m not qualified or why I’ll fail…

We ALL have these voices that come at us in the form of external messaging and then internal reminders, again and again and again. But we can learn to recognize our limiting beliefs, and decide to move past them in a healthy way so we can fulfill the great things we’re meant to do in this world.

It is CHALLENGING work but also the most rewarding work. I want to walk you through 5 of the most common limiting beliefs that women encounter and how to move past them.

I cried on our team call last week. You know the season we’re in is leaving no one unaffected by financial challenges or health worries or our sense of security and normalcy being shaken. I’m overwhelmed and exhausted. And I know I’m not unique in my experience. With layoffs and furloughs and business dropping out from under us -- Financial insecurity is impacting so many.

So what can we do about it? How can we manage the fear, make the best decisions, and even just TALK about what we’re facing so our money isn’t a thing of anxiety, but a tool that gives us stability in uncertain times?

The expert for this conversation is Dominique Broadway, millennial money expert and founder of Finances Demystified. Her mission is to help you take action with your finances, so you can begin to live the life you desire. This episode is about taking action with your finances, whatever state they’re in right now, to find confidence moving forward.

No regrets… But hindsight is usually 20-20.

It’s funny looking back at life and realizing just how many things we could’ve done better, streamlined sooner or simply made smarter decisions about. I’m not an advocate of living with any regrets, but I do think looking at our past is a valuable way to see just how far we’ve come and what we can do better going forward.

Question: How can you draw a straight line from yourself to the cash? Answer: It’s as simple as ONE product. You only need one product, and one strategy to turn a profit. And that’s how Danielle Leslie built her business.

Now she teaches her students a system for creating and launching an online course that proves complexity isn’t necessary. It’s about leaning into the systems that WORK.

This stuff is my JAM and I’m excited to nerd out with another course creator right now. Honestly, her approach to course creation and launching is so different from mine, that if the concept hasn’t landed for you before, and you still feel unsure about the course world, I promise this interview will make you think differently.

Pssst… We planned a surprise for Jenna and you get to hear it play out on this episode of the Goal Digger Podcast!

Hey friends, it’s Kylie, the manager and producer of the show. When Jenna told me she wanted to do a new Ask Jenna Anything episode this month and we realized it would land on her birthday, I couldn’t waste the opportunity to surprise her.

You’ll hear from some familiar names and voices of Team JK in this episode… But you’ll also hear a few surprises, too. Jenna had no idea what she was sitting down to record. I’ve gave her strict instructions -- No listening to the questions before hitting record (so no preparation!), she must listen and answer in order, and she must keep the track rolling the whole time so we could hear her reactions.

I am so excited for you to hear this candid, off-the-cuff version of Jenna as she answers questions about her personal life, business, what makes her laugh and more.

I watched everyone’s jaw drop to the floor when I told my team what this woman has accomplished.

At 15-years old Keiana Cave was researching the BP oil spill and inventing new ways of detecting toxins in seawater after spills. Before she was barely 20 she’d received millions in funding to continue her scientific research. Now at 21, she’s inventing a non-hormonal birth control pill.

She is a scientist and a CEO, she’s a woman innovating for women, and she encourages girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math, too. Keiana is a brilliant mind and beautiful soul, and I’m so excited that she’s on the Goal Digger Podcast to share her story with you.

We talk about life and business as a woman in science. We talk about birth control and our cycles. We talk about all the things and it’s waiting for you.

Last week, the US Government passed an unprecedented $2 trillion dollar stimulus bill in response to the economic impact of COVID-19. That’s a lot of zeros, and with 883-pages in the bill, there’s a lot of info to digest. I’m not sure we’ve ever done this, but we released this episode less than 24 hours after we recorded it, because we know how important this information will be for you and your small business.

Casey Graham is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gravy, the leading failed payment recovery and customer retention solution for companies with recurring revenue. But more than that, Casey is a champion for entrepreneurs, and when the stimulus package passed, he was quick to dive into what it meant for small businesses with CPA and advisory experts, so he could break it down and translate the language for us on the podcast today.

Casey will answer what a stimulus package is, what it means for small businesses, who qualifies, what you need to do to claim it, and all of the important nitty-gritty details broken down into one episode, because I know you’re not using your quarantine time to read all 883-pages of that bill.

Straight to the facts. Let’s talk about the $2 trillion dollar stimulus package and what it means for YOU.

DISCLAIMER: We are not accountants, lawyers, or government officials and information is subject to change.  We are two small business owners and supporters sharing what we have learned through our own research.

Are you curious about the inner workings of a non-profit? Have you thought maybe a non-profit could be your calling? Are you entrepreneurial minded and want to impact the world with the business you build? This episode is for you.

Hannah Skvarla started The Little Market alongside Lauren Conrad because they wanted to find a meaningful way to give back. Their goal was to create a sustainable way to help women around the world break the cycle of poverty and create a better future for themselves and their families.

The shop is stunning but the mission behind it makes each item even more beautiful. I am so excited for Hannah to share what the early days of The Little Market looked like, how she and Lauren partnered and leveraged each other’s gifts to build the organization, and her advice for getting started on your own non-profit to celebrate and support a cause close to your heart.

This season we’ve suddenly been thrown into is heavy. It’s brought a lot of uncertainty and devastation and things are shifting rapidly. Businesses have bolted doors, schools have been canceled for the remainder of the year, and people who make a living off of hourly work are wondering when’s the next time they'll be able to meet with clients, offer their services and make a living again.

It’s absolute turmoil and completely heartbreaking, from the chaos and panic of a quickly spreading and deadly illness to the impact this disease has already had on business owners and families everywhere. And it’s equally frightening that no one saw it coming and no one knows when things will take an upswing.

So while I hate the circumstance, I can tell you that in this season of waiting, time is the resource that can help you pivot, grow and expand the most. My hope is that you take this time and space to breathe again, dream again, and put steps into motion to keep this thing running WELL after we’ve made it through this challenging season.

So let’s get into the tangible steps to take right now to keep your business flourishing now and next week and next year and beyond.

Ready to START and SUCCEED but don’t know where to begin? This is for you.

Nothing feels more intimidating than starting. Judging by the amount of DMs and comments I see about how I got started in my business, I feel like you might agree that starting can be the hardest part.

My friend Natalis Ellis is co-founder of BossBabe, a community for unapologetically ambitious women. Sounds like my kind of community, right? It has since grown into a massive resource with over 15 million members learning how to start, grow, and scale their businesses.

Natalie also knows that starting can be the hardest part, and that’s why the babes behind BossBabe created a framework around it. Our goal for this episode is to demystify the how of starting your business, what you can do to move from side hustle to full time, and why being resourceful is more important than having resources.

Affiliate marketing is one of THE best ways to start generating passive income and getting paid to share the things you already adore AND that you likely already share with your people because of said adoration.

Anyone with a following can pursue it to make more money -- without creating, packaging, shipping, or building a darn thing... Other than content.

It’s not about having thousands, tens of thousands, or a million-plus followers. It’s not about having any air of celebrity or a household name. It’s not even about whether you consider yourself an “influencer” or not. The KEY is that if you want to successfully affiliate with a brand and see success doing it, there NEEDS to be passion and authenticity behind who you choose to represent and partner with. This episode covers it all.

I love speaking with and for women on this podcast. But when I saw this man’s name land in my inbox, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to offer a different perspective on the show. This is a great discussion to hear together with your partner.

Dave Hollis is COO of The Hollis Co. He’s also husband to one of my friends who you may know very well, Rachel Hollis. And in this episode we discuss what it’s like being the husband of that very successful woman. I ask him about gender roles, about imposter syndrome, and the lies men continue to believe about how a real man acts or feels. I can’t wait for you to hear this conversation.

Are you still in the bustle of trading your precious hours for money? Wait, wait, did you know your TIME is worth something? Maybe you’re like, “nah, that’s not me. I’m not an hourly employee, and I don’t charge an hourly fee for my services. I don’t trade time for money.”

No matter what you do, life is a game of time and money, right? That was the name of my game for the first 5 years of my business. I only got paid when I showed up. The only way I could scale my business was through working more, that was it. There was nothing scaleable about it, there wasn’t a secret recipe to make money while I slept. I was in the business of trading time for money.

I realized a couple years ago how very fleeting and special time is. I can always create more services, products, and offers, but time? I can’t get that back, ever, so it’s become my absolute number one priority to protect it. Anyone, no matter what line of business you’re in or what your work style is, you have the ability to make small shifts to begin transitioning away from trading your time for money.

Let’s really get into the tactical steps you can be taking to gradually move away from this time for money standard.

What’s really holding you back from scaling your business? Do you ever feel like you’ve got the systems, your client base is there, you’re ready to invest your time but then… A mental roadblock pops up. Your self-limiting beliefs creep in and you’re stalled before you even start.

When fear and self-doubt threatens your dreams, you not only feel it, but other people can sense it. Showing up confidently is the key to communicating your message and getting others to share in it… But that’s easier in concept than execution. I called in the leader of Business Boutique and Ramsey Personality Christy Wright for this episode because she has a gift for helping women change their mindset in their businesses to allow for growth. Or heck, even just giving yourself permission to start.

This is a conversation for anyone wanting to retool their mindset, show up confidently, and tell fear to take a hike so you can start right now. Sound like you? Press play.

I can’t help but laugh when I scroll back to my earliest days on instagram. There are grainy photos of my dogs and random #inspirational quotes I found who knows where filling my feed, which by the way, had ZERO consistency or flow. My aesthetic was NOT right, sis. I’d post when I felt like it and didn’t have a strategy.

Everyone starts somewhere, right? And even though I teach instagram and social media strategy now, I didn’t always have thousands of followers and a clear vision for how the social media world could transform, enhance, and even sustain my business.

The “starting” phase is easily the hardest and most gritty because we often think of alllll the things we need to do and get overwhelmed. This episode is about paring it down, simplifying and removing the barriers to entry so you can legit get started right away. By the end of this episode, I want you to be equipped to begin nurturing your following and stepping into the person and business owner you’re becoming.
