WOWZA. This episode release is making me feel more vulnerable than just about any release yet....
Ever since my sister started managing Goal Digger, she has been trying to convince me that listeners *genuinely* want to hear about my LIFE-- not just business topics. Say, what?! My little life in small-town Wisconsin is considered interesting?!
But, sometimes little sisters can convince you of crazy stuff, and we put together our first episode dedicated solely to answering listener’s most-asked personal questions about my life! (Still crazy to me!)
Tune into this episode if you want an authentic look into my everyday life and most monumental moments. Everything from my faith story to my favorite netflix shows all the way to “the one thing I wish I could tell my future child”....
This one is real, it is raw, .... (and you just may hear your question and name mentioned on air!)
Goal Diggers, you are meeting one of the biggest players on team Jenna Kutcher, Danielle Prahl.
Danielle is the epitome of a Goal Digger: a self-made tech brainiac, a momma, and one of the smartest, kindest, most encouraging women I know. She works behind the scenes for me in SO many ways: growing my email list, creating opt-ins and funnels, and dreaming big dreams right alongside me.
I had Danielle on the show to talk about her unique journey and her uplifting, but “no excuses” attitude. Danielle is one of the hardest working, most innovative thinking women I know, and her wisdom is going to rock. your. world.
Danielle has transitioned from a workaholic woman to one of the most balanced, wise, even-keeled people I know. In this episode she will help you find the peace and stillness within the chaos of life and help you create the life you’ve dreamed of!
You can’t miss this one, Goal Diggers. Meet, Danielle Prahl!
We’re learning more each day about the power of human connection. People are far more likely to trust a business that has a personality behind it. While businesses may have been able to get away with only sharing their products in the past, I think consumers are getting better at spotting and blocking promotions, paid ads, and sales pitches. It simply isn’t enough to only share your work anymore!
One of the biggest things I’ve seen this year is a shift toward more authenticity and vulnerability online and through that, more depth of the connections we’re making with our clients, customers, and followers. If you really want to take people from simply followers to true fans, it’s time to focus on creating a brand that shares more than what you have to sell.
On the episode I share my Jenna Kutcher 5 method where I take five categories of my personal brand and just rotate through them (including a business thing or two!), but where I strive to create connection points beyond what I am selling. Created a well-rounded brand will give people a reason to follow you even if they aren't currently on the market for what you're selling!
Ready to share your heart *and* grow your biz?! Let's dive on in!
I talk a lot about launching and why I love teaching online courses but this episode is going to get super technical and break down the behind the scenes of our fall launch of The Photo Lab! Now, this wasn’t our biggest launch ever monetarily BUT it was by far the smoothest launch we have ever led and for me, that’s the biggest win. I have cracked the code to a smooth, successful launch and I'm ready to share it with you!
Trust me, I have lived through bad launches-- the kind where it sort of feels like you are in fight or flight for a week straight? Yup, I've been there. But with minor tweaks along the way, our team has designed a fool-proof way to slow down, systemize our process, *and* still move the bottom line.
Are you ready to up your launch game or are just looking where to start? Here is my step-by-step formula to a happy, relaxed, (and profitable!) launch! Let's do this!
Nastia Liukin’s crowning achievement was at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, but winning five medals was only the beginning for this golden girl.
After returning home, she graced the pages of countless magazines and appeared on various TV shows, while even being chosen as one of 2009’s most influential people by MSN Lifestyle, and graduating from NYU. She remains an ambassador for the sport, and continue to uplift women in sports everywhere.
But her path wasn’t always clear after the Olympic Games. Nastia gives us an incredibly open, vulnerable look into her unique path and what it feels like to “believe your best work is behind you”. Whether you are a sports fan or not, this episode is incredibly relatable: from family dynamics and movin' into a new city, all the way to shifting careers and setting big goals, Nastia is undoubtedly going to inspire you to dream big dreams, set even bigger goals, and work your tail off every day to live your best life.
You can’t miss this one, Goal Digger. (PSSST: I have a feeling her story is going to leave you speechless....)
So maybe you’ve started an email list, or you’re thinking about bit but you’re wondering: what in the heck will I send out to people and how can I handle that extra work? Maybe you’ve figured out a (non-spammy) way to ask people to join your email list and you’re watching people subscribe and it excites you - but you're also a little scared that you’re now committed to actually sending them emails and you’re not sure where to start or how to hit “send” with confidence.... sound familiar?
Today, I am telling you my biggest secrets, tips, and tricks as to how I grew my email list by over 100,000 (!!!) in 2017 alone. If you currently have 0 subscribers or 10,000- this episode is for YOU.
BONUS: Listen to this episode to find out how you can claim your spot in my 100% free email list building webinar! Spots are limited!
3 reasons you need a list EVEN if you’re a << Insert ANY Business Here >>
Here we go with round 2 of a mini list building series I’m doing on the podcast this week. It’s the first time I’ve taken two full episodes back to back to talk about one topic. Why? Because it’s just *that* important. We got so many questions from you guys on email marketing when we polled my audience about your questions, fears and where you’re getting stuck - so tune in to episode 116 if you haven’t already - it’s a good one!
A common question I want to tackle that we got was “why do I need a list if I’m a … photographer, florist, graphic designer, product shop …) and I want to get across to you today that whether you’re a service, product or education based business, list building and serving that list through email needs to be your NUMBER ONE PRIORITY in the new year. It’s definitely mine, in fact - one of my goals is to grow my email list larger than my social media accounts combined (yes, really).
So let’s jump in and talk about why an email list is the ONE thing you're missing (it won't take me long to convince you, I promise.)
PSSST: Bonus! The shownotes on this episode are unreal helpful! Head over to jennakutcherblog.com/email/ if you're READY to make 2018 your year!
SURPRISE! “Ask Jenna Anything” Episodes are BACK and better than ever. I fielded your questions from both the Goal Digger Insiders FB group and the Goal Digger Instagram (This seems like a good time to tell you, if you’re not hanging out there, you’re totally missing out!)
And I decided to tackle this round of questions from listeners with a twist. Instead of the usual smorgasbord of topics, I have grouped them by category! I am fully covering ALL the nitty gritty details but in a more focused, topic-specific way-- and the name of the today's game is EMAIL LISTS.
That's right, your biggest questions about email lists, answered on air. Everything from starting at ground zero all the way to creating opt-ins you dream client can't resist.
Email marketing is such a big, scary topic... but it truly doesn't have to be! If you’re wondering how to get people to sign up for your list, what the heck to say to them or if the fears of tech or staying consistent or not sounding too pushy are things keeping you from implementing an email marketing strategy for your business, then this episode is for YOU.
It's a new year, you're going gangbusters on setting goals and dreaming up what the next 365 days can hold for you and your biggest dreams.... with that, you're probably feeling a little overwhelmed, a little lost, and you're wondering how you're going to tackle all these goals (and still have a life!) I hear ya, I got ya, today I am sharing the 5 biggest, best things you can do for your business in 2018!
From huge game changers like building your email list all the way to minor tweaks like "saying NO more", we are covering it ALL.
And ensuring that 2018 is YOUR year. You in?
You would think with a name like “goal digger” I would be a giant fan of goal setting but the truth is, in the past, it hasn’t always worked for me. It’s that time of year again - the goal setting central time of year when everyone creates resolutions and announces them to the world in hopes that maybe it will actually stick.
Now I don’t know about you - but a lot of times I totally flop and fail on these goals and I usually start writing in a planner and by February 2nd, I don’t even know where that planner is and I haven’t written in it for two weeks. I’ve tried and tried to crack the code on how to approach New Year goal setting and I FINALLY figured out a few hacks that helped me not just achieve my goals but crush them.
...and today I'm letting YOU in. Let's make 2018 OUR year, eh?!
"Done is better than perfect" is a phrase you've probably heard me say a million times on this podcast, but it's only because I believe in its message so darn much! But, I get it, it is straight up HARD to put yourself out there-- flaws and all- but guys, there will never be a perfect moment! Start today, adjust as needed, and grow!
Which is exactly why I couldn't resist asking the adaptability queen, Bethany McDaniel, onto the show. Bethany owns the most incredible, all-natural skincare brand Primally Pure, and has adjusted her sails constantly along the way. In this episode, Bethany tells us how she made the "jump" into pursuing her hobby as a business and how she blew full steam ahead despite the imperfect beginning stages.
Not only is her story crazy inspiring, but she also gives her top tips as to how YOU can engage your audience, receive feedback, and GROW your business. We'll cover everything from how to receive your feedback (both good and bad!) all the way to tweaking your product (and BONUS, you'll hear this expert's TOP tips for glowing, radiant skin!) Not only is this super episode relatable-- but is SO important for moving your business forward! As we approach 2018, it's time to live out our mantra: DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT. Let's make stuff happen, Goal Diggers.
Another bonus Friday 5 episode comin' at ya... and it's our last one! That's right... Our 1 year & 2 million download celebration of bonus episodes is coming to a close... But lucky for you, this final one may just be our best one yet.
Let me guess, the holidays drained your savings and you're looking for ways to earn a few extra dollars. I HEAR YOU. Which is exactly why I made this week's episode where I am giving you 5 simple ways to make more money (no boring investment talk included)! That's right- it's time to add to a little cushion to the ol' bank account and the new year is the perfect time to set new financial goals!
These are *not* your run-of-the-mill boring tips like "save more" (duh.) These are some different, new (and fun!) ways to add more zeroes to your bank account! We are talking about everything from how your groceries can save you money all the way to making money *while* you shop (yes, really!) What do you say? Let's make 2018 our best (and most profitable!) year yet!
PSSST: Did you love these quick, informative "Friday 5" bonus episodes?! We only committed to doing them in December, but are always open to bringing them back if you loved them! If you're going to miss these short and sweet sessions, let us know! You may just be the voice that brings them back...
At the end of last year I did an episode reviewing those 365 days... It’s wild to look back and to see this show was just starting, and this year I got to really take a step back and stare my triumphs and trials in the face as I created THIS episode to help review what 2017 held for me.
I’m always challenged when I pull together lists like this because while a year can feel impossibly long at times, it totally flies by in a blur. Creating this show helped me slow down, celebrate, relive some of the finest moments, and pause on the things that didn’t quite go so well. (And I also created a totally free, totally impactful 2017 review/2018 goal setting gift for YOU in this episode!)
It’s funny, isn’t it? It’s easy to discount the impact that 365 days can have on a life but when you really slow down, when you really compare, when you really dig deeper, so much can be backed into one single year and today I want to share what worked well, what didn’t work, and where we are headed in the new year. Everything from finances to our incredibly difficult miscarriage all the way to missions trips and body image... 2017 was a whirlwind, and I am so thankful for YOU- the Goal Diggers who have been there every step of the way.
Let's cheers to 2018 together, eh?!
We're talking about something we've never discussed as a topic before... What it truly looks like behind the scenes to be an insanely driven woman in a man's world. Now, it's not all bad by any means, but there is some common inner dialogue that happens with many of us Goal Diggers, and it can be hard to navigate being a lady boss in a man's world.
So today I invited the brilliant stylist Emma Natter as she shares her story of how she transitioned from a future as a stay-at-home-mom to primary breadwinner of her home! The tidbits in this episode are not only super relatable but also wildly motivating!
Emma is absolutely a breath of fresh air and such a versatile woman. Just hearing her story made me so proud of this brilliant, inspiring group of girl bosses we have in this community. We are defying the norms, you guys. Or should I say, you ladies.
If you rely on your phone for an alarm clock, something tells me that instead of turning it off when it wakes you up, you go down the rabbit hole of checking all your messages, opening every social media app, and checking out your inbox before your feet even hit the ground. While it's tempting to check in on what happened overnight (ya know, while you're busy doing a thing called: sleeping) implementing these five things into your morning routine can keep you grounded, help you be more productive, and increase your overall wellness.
What would your life look like if you took an extra 10, 20, even 30 minutes to start your day off right? If you make these tweaks and spend a little time reflecting, stretching, moving, and prioritizing, you'll feel more focused, more excited, and more grounded as you enter your workday. These tiny tweaks to your routine can make a GIANT difference in your daily life!
Question for you: What makes YOU different? Chances are you might stammer or need to collect your thoughts before you answer this… Which is EXACTLY why I created today’s episode (and BONUS quiz!) “How To Find Your Secret Sauce and Stick Out From The Masses”! Yes, that’s right-- a quiz AND episode devoted solely to helping you find your niche and OWN it! My best advice is to take the quiz, hone in on your "secret sauce" and then listen to the episode to fully capitalize on it! I cannot wait to give YOU my top tips to ensure that you are felt noticed, heard…. And hired!

From business, marketing, inspiration, and beyond, this list is sure to leave you feeling motivated, refreshed, and ready to dig those goals! Happy Friday, friends!
Alright, goal diggers… This is a topic that I have personally wrestled with but have rarely talked about, and I think many of you can relate. WORKING FROM HOME CAN BE STRAIGHT UP HARD. People often glamorize working from home and having your own schedule, but there are some challenges we just don't talk about, aren't there?
It can be lonely and draining and it is easy to go literally days without seeing anyone besides your roommate or husband. We’ve all been there . I used to be a self-proclaimed “hermit” until I realized that I genuinely needed outside interaction to be my best self. So if you're like me, in today's show I share how I combatted the loneliness that can come when you work for yourself from home with my top 10 tips to navigating loneliness in working from home.
Working from home will be lonely at times, almost without fail! But you can take charge and make small changes in your daily routine that’ll leave you feeling renewed, energized and fulfilled! Let's do this!
Caitlyn Jeffery is my go-to gal and the first lady I ever hired. She is an absolute powerhouse of a woman and true do-it-all-er. A mom, wife, and the Jenna Kutcher brand manager, she used to own her own business as a virtual assistant until she went full time for my team. Since joining my team she has transitioned from email inbox support to podcast supporter all the way to course content and logistic management. Remember when I said she was a do-it-all-er? I MEANT IT!
But even though she can do it all, doesn’t mean she should- which is why she is the perfect person to chat with about using your specific strengths to capitalize on her role.
Stop letting your titles like "manager", "assistant", "executive" define who you are. "It's easy to wrap yourself in your title", but you need to really look at who you are at your core when you take away your title. "Things change, circumstances change, and who you are at your core- is what your focus should be on your life... and your business as well!". This episode is all about using YOUR strengths to craft your dream job! Goal Diggers, It's time to peel back a layer and really look at yourself.

GUYS, it's one of my favorite episode formats, "Ask Jenna ANYTHING"! Every so often I tune in to answer YOUR biggest questions! From the big topics like what my marriage is like or my ONE "impossible dream that I am a little afraid to say outloud", all the way to the small things (with big impacts) like what my morning routine looks like or what type of diet I follow- YOU GUYS ASK IT ALL! And I'm answering!
While I wish I could dedicate full shows to your questions, a lot of times the responses are brief. This is my best method to answer your questions, give you a behind the scenes look into my life, marriage, home, fashion and of course mac and cheese recipes and connect with you, the listeners. If you have a question you’d love answered, join our Goal Digger Podcast Insiders group on Facebook and once a month you can share your biggest questions and maybe I’ll answer it (and mention you!) on the show!
