Well, Goal Diggers, let’s just say it wasn’t exactly on our vision board, but God had a plan, and everything has fallen into place so perfectly. The big life change is…. we’re moving to Minnesota! Duluth, Minnesota to be exact. That’s right, Drew and I will be moving 6 hours away from our current home and community, and we couldn’t be more excited. But many people are asking:

Why are we moving away from Fort Atkinson?

What prompted the big move?

What does our new house look like?

When are we moving?

What does this mean for business?

And ultimately, why we decided to move away from friends, our gym, our home?

The truth is, there is a lot of behind the scenes of our lives that you don’t always see in social media, and today I am walking you through a more personal story of why we are moving across states somewhat abruptly… I wanted to share a little bit about how this big move transpired and how God’s hand was in every little piece of it and also what our plan is going to be moving forward! This is a HUGE life change for us, Goal Diggers, and I am so excited to let you in on the secrets behind it!

Any advice on moving far distances?! Our last move was only 10 miles, and now this one is across states! If you have any tips, head over to @goaldiggerpodcast on instagram and give me your best moving hacks! Because WE NEED THEM.

Instead, there was a real estate stint, a master's degree in education, travels, and mostly, a lot of dreams and grit. This path wasn't straight forward, but it was full of passion, strategy, and a beautiful social entrepreneurship mission. If you're wondering about product development, importing, dignified sourcing, and distribution models, you're in the right place.

THE REALITY OF GOING VIRAL: The true story of how we (accidentally) created viral content, grew our following, and got national press... Simply by being who we are.

In case you missed it, our marriage has been on the national (and international!) stage as a post of us in swimsuits went viral. We've gained followers, saw a boost of an engagement, and grew our business all within one whirlwind week.

Sound like a great gig? It was.... and wasn't. In this episode, I tell you everything you need to know about going viral. The wins, the losses (may or may not have gotten emotional reading the "mean comments" on air...), and the final outcome. Was it worth it? It was. Did it have downsides? You bet. And I'm about to fill you in on ALL of it.

If you're on the quest to create viral content, this episode is for you!

When people ask me what I do, I always pause and ask myself: “Do they realllly want to know or are they just asking to be kind.” I’m a: wedding photographer, a podcaster, and online marketing educator, I am a public speaker, I have an island rental unit on Maui, I’m a marketing consultant, I sell watercolor prints, I have an online digital template shop, I do brand collaborations on social media… should I continue?

The truth is, if that list hasn’t made it clear: I am passionate about more than one thing and I’ve been lucky enough to pursue each passion while also driving profits into my business because of how I’ve managed those passions.

Where do you start when you have a bunch of good ideas and you want to do them all? Let’s address this because starting is usually the hardest thing... In this episode, I will teach you how to pivot, chase multiple passions, AND create profit.

One of the BEST things about being multi-passionate and having a multifaceted business means that if one branch of my business isn’t performing well or I need a break from it, my business won’t fail. I am not tied to just one piece of my business but have many angles contributing, taking the pressure off of focusing on ONE thing.

In this episode you'll find how you can balance being a multi-passionate human being. Remember those things you’re passionate about, curious about, those aren’t by chance. Those might be your calling.

Kathryn is one of the most invested, genuine, and authentic people in the world, and today she is telling us allllllll about the ebbs and flows of her career path and how YOU can transition with your work. If you are feeling complacent or trapped in a box in your career, you need to listen to this! You CAN dream big dreams and evolve-- you are not “one thing”-- you are limitless. Let’s dig in, shall we?

A year and a half ago I had NO team. It was just me, trying to run every aspect of my business. For SO long I had my grip so tight on control: wanting to control every thing from my email inbox to my social media strategy from photography, finances, and the list goes on… while I was making it happen, it wasn’t easy and in reality I was stunting my own growth simply because I was too proud to let someone in.

Then I learned how to hire a team. But this is where the real lesson started: how do you bring that team together and promote teamwork, creative thinking, and problem solving?

And I figured it out.

Goal Diggers, we are talking about how YOU can hire a team and grow your business in the process. We are covering everything from:

-The questions to ask your team to ensure you're on the same page

-How to delegate in a way that empowers

-How to pass along ownership (and watch your business grow in the process!)

-The secret to growth and getting feedback in a comfortable way

-Ensuring that your team prioritizes their work well

So whether you have ONE VA or you’re thinking about adding to a growing team, I want to talk about ways you can create a team culture and what that can look like as your business grows. One of the best gifts is being able to run a business that not just affords my life but supports other women and their families plus I have a TEAM of women helping me live out my mission while they are chasing their dreams in tandem. You want in on the secrets? Join in!

PSST: You don't want to miss the freebie in this episode

So let's say you have a side hustle and you're wanting to turn it into a full-time gig? How exactly do you do you grow your business to that point? Where do you invest your money? How many hours do you work? What does that transition truly look like? How do you make sure your finances, branding, team, taxes, and, heck, YOURSELF, are ready to make the leap? Let's just say there are a lot of questions that small business owners are asking. So today we decided to chat with Jaclyn Johnson of Create and Cultivate-- a brilliant business woman who turned her side hustle into a mega successful (crazy impactful) full-time gig. And her business is all about, well, exactly the questions we just mentioned.... giving small business owners a place to ask their "dumb questions" and teaching entrepreneurs how to collaborate and share their secrets. In this episode we hear Jaclyn's entrepreneurship journey from crazy highs (being a social media strategy prodigy) to crazy low lows (losing her job when the economy crashed), all the way to splitting up with her business partner, starting fresh, and building the company of her dreams. Her story is wildly inspiring and if that isn't enough to motivate you, I don't know what is. This story will remind you that *no one* has it all figured out, and life is a whole lot easier, more fulfilling, and joyful when we Create and Cultivate. Together. Goal Diggers, welcome, Jaclyn Johnson!

Hey Goal Diggers! “Ask Jenna Anything” Episodes are BACK, and better than ever. I fielded your questions from both the Goal Digger Insiders FB group and the Goal Digger instagram (if you’re not hanging out there, you’re totally missing out!)

I was absolutely floored by the amount of responses I got from you guys, and decided to approach this round of “Ask Jenna Anything” with a twist-- instead of the usual smorgasbord of questions, I have grouped them by category! I am still letting you call the shots and am fully covering ALL the nitty gritty details, but in a more focused, topic-specific way! I am super excited about this shift and can’t wait to hear what you think!

You all know I am a branding freak, which is why I’m so stinking excited about this episode!

I truly believe branding yourself and your business well is the single most impactful thing you can do for growth, but I know it can be confusing and frustrating at times. Which is exactly why I am so excited to dig through your “Ask Jenna Anything” branding-related questions and go through a crash course in Jenna Kutcher branding 101! Let’s do it!

TO HEAR MY ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS BELOW, TUNE IN!

Margaret S: How to market yourself without feeling like you’re being pushy/bragging/ too aggressive?

Rachel W: How do you create so many unique domains for your different downloads and other offerings?

Sydney jade creative (Instagram): would love to know how to share my story/ create engaging content that attracts my tribe. How can I write killer copy like you do to share your story, Jenna?!

Lazel farm (Instagram): Would love to learn more about storytelling for your website, connecting with clients, and being your true self. I can’t seem to make the connection to being more authentic online. How do you make the jump from being stiff to more authentic online

Alexis R: How do you feel about stock photos for blog posts? Are they valuable or cheesy?

Mary B: My question: I have a blog, coaching program, an small online Shopify store...and am researching starting a podcast. They are all "mine" under my husband and my name. Question, all three are not branded the same....is it too confusing and not "niche" enough?

Emily D: you talk about marketing to your ideal client. But what about when your business is new needs to grow/build clientele? Should we start with marketing broadly and then narrow down marketing when the business is more established?

Melissa M: I would love to learn more about branding and search engine optimization! It’s like a foreign language... what’s the most important steps? Is there someone you know who rocks with this? Would love to hear more on this!

Serena P: I'm just unsure of how to start and how to find my voice. I don't really know what my "jenna 5" would be, how do I find that?

Carolyn M: I am currently running two separate social media accounts. One for business, one personal. I don’t think I want to merge the accounts, but I’m struggling with how much personal to share on my business account to make me personable yet protect privacy. How do you decide how much of “you” to share while still maintaining a healthy level of privacy?

Awwww, podcasting. What a world. I had to face it, it was time to dig into the journey of starting a podcast, building a brand, climbing the charts, and growing your business in tandem. The truth is, there is A LOT to say about the world of podcasting, and I couldn't think of anyone better to interview than the host of "Don't Keep Your Day Job", Cathy Heller. I recently guested on Cathy's show and was struck by her passion and growth of her podcast! (Fun fact: we were BOTH recently featured by iTunes on the top 10 shows to listen to in 2018!)

Cathy is a inspiration-- and she is also a brilliant business woman and podcaster. I knew she would be open about the nitty gritty process of starting a podcast, and she did not disappoint.

Tune into to hear:

-How to know if you should start a podcast

-Why naming a podcast feels like naming a child. (But, actually!)

-How to get big name guests on your show

-Making an impact with every episode

-Why our first episodes embarrass us AND make us proud

-The mystery of the podcast algorithm

Cathy is just so refreshing that her positivity seeped far beyond the world of podcasting! If you are looking for a kick in the pants to live out your potential, you're in the right place!

Trust me when I tell ya, I didn’t always do things like this. I was that one-woman show who believed she could do it and I lived like that for a few years… I was white knuckling my business and thus white knuckling my life and until I started to loosen my grip on control, I couldn’t see my way out.

BUT (there is always a but...) Once I started outsourcing, I couldn’t stop.

Five ways you can outsource your life and claim back your time! I’d love to remind you guys that time is a non-renewable resource but money? It’s renewable. If you want to have a full life you have to make sure you’re spending each day filling it with the things that light you up and inspire you. Of course, you can do a lot of these things on your own but that doesn’t mean you have to.

Here are 5 ways we are outsourcing our lives this year and let me tell you, it’s been worth every single penny.
